Dan Becker
A native of Central Illinois, Dan Becker grew up in the Champaign bedroom community of Mahomet, Illinois graduating from Mahomet-Seymour High School in 1984. That same year he moved to Decatur, Illinois where he spent the next four years completing his undergraduate work at Millikin University earning his bachelor’s degree in Production Management.
Upon graduating from college Dan worked in manufacturing at Trailmobile in Charleston, Illinois. Within a few years, however, he craved adventure and decided to move south to Texas -- and learned to fly! Once Dan earned his wings, he spent the next decade working first as a flight instructor in Texas, then as an airline pilot in St. Louis and Washington D.C., and finally as a charter pilot back in central Illinois.
In 2002 Dan again switched gears this time pursuing his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Illinois – an experience he considers to be one of the most fulfilling academic experiences of his lifetime. While enrolled in the program he additionally took the reins of his father’s homebuilding business and eventually built over forty homes in the Champaign-Urbana area. He later set his sights on development and recently partnered in the development of a residential subdivision in Mahomet.
Dan currently owns and manages a portfolio of residential investment properties. Personal: Dan is married and lives with his wife and three children in Mahomet, Illinois. He enjoys family activities, sports, aviation, investing, reading and skiing.
