Bob Beyers

Bob is a lifelong resident of Illinois. He grew up on a farm near Pana, Illinois and graduated from Pana High School in 1965. He received a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois in 1969. After being drafted by the US Army, Bob served in the infantry in Vietnam for 10 months. He returned to Champaign and earned his Law Degree in 1974. Bob practiced law in Pana until 1982 when he, his wife Luella and their three kids, Ben, Brian & Sarah, moved to Champaign where he’s practiced law for over 25 years.
Bob has been interested and active in sports his whole life. Since moving to Champaign, he co-founded the Champaign Track Club, as well as coaching youth soccer, basketball, baseball, and girls’softball.
Bob has formerly been active in the Jaycees, Rotary, Knights of Columbus, VFW, and Ambucs as well as having been a member of U of I Quarterback Club. Additionally, he has served on the Parish Council for St. Matthew’s Church & School in Champaign.
His hobbies and interests mostly revolve around his family. Bob’s wife Luella is a self employed CPA; his son Ben lives in Glen Carbon, Illinois and is an Assistant States Attorney for Madison County; his son Brian is a Dean at Urbana High School and the head boys track coach there; his daughter Sarah is in Health Administration serving as Dept. Manager for the Pediatric Rehabilitation Division of Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Bob continues to manage the family farm in Shelby County and has been involved with investing in residential and commercial property.
