Lee Risner
Born In Southern Illinois, she moved to Valparaiso, Indiana as a young girl. There Lee met and married her husband, Jerry and they moved to Watseka, Illinois to Pastor a Church. While there, Lee attended and graduated from Kanakakee Community College, becoming a licensed cosmetologist. During that time, she studied and become an Ordained Minister. Lee and her husband currently live in Rural Urbana, and Pastor a church in Hoopeston where they have been for five years.
Lee studied and become a licensed insurance agent for five years. Later, she became a sales representative for various companies. This allowed her to travel to both Indiana and Illinois for over a decade. When the company was purchased by a competitor, this began a new life path for her….the path to becoming a real estate agent.
Lee has been around the real estate industry most of her life. Her family as well as her husband’s family are involved in real estate. Lee has always taken an interest in the field and has wanted to get her license and become a Realtor. Therefore, when the opportunity arose in early 2010, Lee took the required courses to attain her real estate salesperson license. In April of this year, Lee received her license and signed on with Joel Ward Homes and became a member of the Champaign County Association of Realtors.
Lee has worked one on one with many clients and it’s her desire to help her buyer client find their new “home” as well as help her seller client sell theirs. Her goal is to help her clients market their homes in the best possible way at the very best price from start to finish.
